We are looking for Site Operative with the ability to deal with daily maintenance. (You need your own form of a transport to be able to get to this job location)
You need to be able to respond to calls regarding alarms in a responsible, timely and organised manner.

You do need your own transport to be considered for this position due to site location.
We are looking for candidate who is after permanent role rather than temporary assignment.

Multi Skilled Site Operative will be working Monday-Friday from 7am to 5pm.

For our candidate we are offering fantastic pay of £12.50 per hour, A form of training and support provided, company pension, onsite parking, performance based bonus.

You will be working within a small team to monitoring and operate Biomass CHP plant equipment, with you being responsible for all elements of the Wood Shavings Process to maintain safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations, to include;

• Baling Operations: Overseeing and managing the baling machine to efficiently process materials.
• Shaving Machine: Operating and maintaining the shaving machine for biomass processing.
• Drying Product: Ensuring the proper drying of biomass products as per quality standards.
• Blade Sharpening: Performing blade changes and sharpening using specialized machinery.
• Site Maintenance: Maintaining the general tidiness and cleanliness of the site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Heavy Machinery Operation: Proficiently using JCBs and forklifts for various operational tasks.
• Material Handling: Loading the shaving machine and filling the walking floor with biomass materials.
• Quality Control: Checking and ensuring the moisture content of the processed biomass products.
• Routine Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections and performing repairs as needed to ensure equipment and machinery are in optimal condition.
• Plant Assistance: Collaborating with Plant Operators and providing support when necessary, assisting with boiler cleans, and responding to alarms in a responsible, timely and organised manner
• Adherence to operational SOPs and Health and Safety procedures

Ideal Candide for this position will have following skills:

• Proficient in operating JCBs and forklifts.
• Committed to adhering to safety protocols, especially when working at heights or in confined spaces during shutdowns.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A positive 'can-do’ attitude
• Proactive, flexible, and adaptable

Essential Experience:

• Forklift: 2 years (required) - you need forklift licence to apply 
• Manual handling practical
• Materials handling practical experience
